RESPONDENTS Respondents include 98 building owners. Respondents were primarily from the public sector (69%), although some private sector owners (17%) and building owner representatives (13%) were included. Most of the owners construct education, government or healthcare projects, with some infrastructure work (transportation, pipelines/ utilities, water/wastewater, mass transit) also represented. As the chart at upper right shows, owners were relatively evenly divided between those with a capital budget of $100 million and over and those with a smaller budget. Owners were also asked about their familiarity with three aspects of a multiparty workflow. Only those who indicated that they were familiar with these elements were asked questions about them in the survey. 26 SmartMarket Brief: Connecting Owners and Contractors Premier Par tner: e-Builder © Dodge Data & Analytics w w w.construction.com
