RESPONDENTS Respondents include 112 contractors. ■ Type of Company: • 74% General Contractors • 17% Construction Managers • 6% Design/Build Contractors • 2% Specialty Trade Contractors • 1% Other ■ Size of Company: Per chart at right, the highest percentage of contractors had 2018 revenues over $100 million, but there was good representation of midsize and smaller companies as well. ■ Types of Projects: Contractors included in the study primarily do commercial construction, with relatively high representation of those doing education, government and healthcare projects. As with the owners, a smaller but notable percentage also engage in infrastructure projects like transportation, water/wastewater and pipelines. ■ Familiarity With Multiparty Workflow: As with the owners, the questions asked of contractors were determined by their familiarity with three processes, per the chart at lower right.
