For contractors, having an owner require use of the owner's PMIS is quite common, with 90% reporting that they experience this. Therefore, any challenges created by having to use the owner's PMIS system, including lost productivity and inaccuracies resulting from double entries, are impacting most contractors to at least some degree. Owners who require use of their system tend to do so frequently, with 52% expecting contractors to use it on more than half of their projects. Even though only 36% of contractors currently report that they are required to use an owner's PMIS with that level of frequency, they are likely to have to do so more frequently in the future, as more owners adopt these systems.
